Allan’s Studio-Gallery is located in the conservation village of Colmonell in the stunning Stinchar Valley.
The venue is a delightful former church that has been tastefully renovated to provide a light and airy art space. Here in this amazing space, resident artist and studio-gallery owner Allan McNally creates bold, vibrant contemporary paintings of Scottish landscapes, coastal and seascapes.
Allan spent several years honing his art skills before rounding of his art education with an Advanced Diploma in Art and design.
Also, Inspired by an art exchange to Tibet in 2006, Allan creates travel scenes of further trips to the Himalaya and Tibetan Plateau where he lived with Nomads communities over several trips

Artist Statement: “I enjoy exploring the versatility of watercolours and find it a refreshing medium to capture the ever changing moods of Scottish landscapes and seascapes. I gain inspiration for my work from remote wilderness places, fishing villages and nature. Savouring, the challenge of finding unusual subjects to paint in unexpected places. I love coming across a forgotten derelict croft, an old boat, mountain stream reflection or glimpse of a Hebridean island through the mist. It always surprises me the painting subjects that are created by nature and landscape and people living in those remote stunning landscapes”.

A professional mid-career artist since 2006, he sells his art mainly through his own studio-gallery and he has previously exhibited over several decades with art galleries around Scotland, London, and Internationally in Dallas, St. Petersburg, New Dehli and Madrid, as well as regularly exhibiting at art fairs in Glasgow, Aberdeen and London. His work can be found in private and corporate collections in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, France, Portugal and Japan.
